Westhaven is located in Central Western NSW, Australia
Dubbo is a thriving, major inland city right in the heart of country NSW, Australia and located amongst some of our best wheat growing and sheep grazing country which ranges from the cooler hill country around Mudgee, Orange and Bathurst to the east, through to the drier, flatter country to the west around Parkes, Cobar and Bourke.
Early explorers like Lt. John Oxley discovered the area in the 1820s as they reached out from the new colony based in Sydney, looking for rich farming country. They correctly determined that the region would be ideal agricultural country which was then quickly settled to generate food and wool for the rapidly growing nation and for export back to England.
Although initially wheat growing country, today fine quality sheep of mixed breeds are grazed on a range of pastures and native grasses to create some of the World’s finest quality wools.
