Care of your two sheep Uggs
Proudly brought to you by Westhaven Association.
Your two sheep Ugg boots are not waterproof so to keep their new look we recommend that before wearing, you:
- Spray the outside of the boot with UGG™ Protector following the instructions on the pump spray bottle. This will protect the outer skin from water splashes and most grease and other stains.
Washing your two sheep Uggs
Do not use ordinary detergent or bleach, as it often contains harsh chemicals which will damage the sheepskin.
The accepted method for washing two sheep Uggs is:
- Dissolve a small amount of quality UGG™ Sheepskin double face Shampoo with Conditioner wool wash in luke warm water. Do not use hot water
- Hand wash the Uggs in this luke warm water (definitely not hot)
- Do not allow the boots to stand soaking in water.
- Do not wash your two sheep Ugg boots in the washing machine.
- Lightly rinse boots under luke warm water and place them in a shady position away from direct sunlight, allowing them to dry slowly to retain their natural supple finish. Ideally the boots should be placed upside down and allowed to drip dry.
Please note that any form of heat (hair dryer, direct sun or open fire) will cause noticeable shrinkage of the skin.
After washing and on drying you may notice a mild shrinkage of the skin and the boots may be a little tight on wearing. After wearing your boots for an hour or so you should find that the skin has stretched back to its normal shape and size.
Boots that have been washed and dried should have another coat of UGG™ Protector applied to minimise the impact of water splashes and other stains when used again.
